Key
Clubs
Centennial, Central,
Pueblo West, and Pueblo Technical Academy High Schools are now operating
Key Clubs sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Pueblo.
Key Clubs are high school
service organizations designed to instill the same values of community
service and individual advancement sought by the parent Kiwanis clubs.
Key Club members raise funds for such community projects, such as toys
for needy children at Christmas. They visit nursing homes, support and
encourage faculty members, and participate in projects with the
sponsoring Kiwanis club.
Key Club membership
builds leadership skills and improves leadership skills.
BattleBots IQ
Through the BattleBots IQ
program, students at the Pueblo Technical Academy along with sponsors
John Musso and Vicki Walter design, build and compete a fighting robot.
The BattleBots IQ program allows the students to learn in a different
environment where they build on their engineering, math, electrical and
mechanical skills.
Builders Club
The Kiwanis Club of
Pueblo has established a very active Builders Club at Roncalli Middle
School. A Builders Club is a middle school version of the high school
Key Club. Members enjoy the same type of community service activities.
