How New Members Are Chosen
and What to Expect as a New Member

Members are chosen because of their desire to serve the community and the club. We do not seek to fill a certain quota of professional or occupational fields when seeking new members. Each new member must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Each new member will be part of a warm and friendly organization devoted to each of its members and to the community. He or she can expect to share lunch with these members each week while enjoying numerous informative, entertaining and/or enlightening programs. Attendance at  meetings is strongly encouraged, but not mandated.

Participation

Each member is strongly encouraged to make his or her contribution by giving time to many activities, both fund raising and community service. Fund raising is essential but also enjoyable.

Committees
In addition to attending regular meetings, each member is asked to serve on committees.

Standing committees include:

  • Community Service
  • Youth Service
  • Foundation
  • Inter clubs
  • Sponsored Youth
  • Membership
  • Fellowship
  • Spiritual Aims
  • Past Presidents
  • Club Meetings
  • Programs
  • Music
  • Publications
  • Scholarships
  • Acclamation 18

Costs

Each member is billed $50.00 per month at the beginning of each month. This fee covers the cost of the Wednesday luncheon and international and district dues. There is an additional cost for lunches at board and committee meetings. Occasionally voluntary donations are solicited for projects. There is an induction fee of $50.00.
